400s!!!

This is my favorite workout of the year. We did 6x400 at 5k with decreasing recovery (60 50 40 30 30 20), 6 minute rest, and then 6x400 beginning at 5k and getting faster every time, with 45 second recovery.

I was worried beforehand that my breathing wasn't going to be good, because I was having a hard time taking deep breaths, but the intervals are short enough that it never got to me and eventually went away. I felt really good on this workout last year as well. Everyone else was breathing hard and I was able to talk a bit on pretty much all of them, so I think I should have been doing them faster, but I had already moved up a group so I let Jesse set the pace, until the last one, where I sped up a little bit. I really needed a workout like this, where I felt like I could have gone faster and just had a lot of fun.

overall pace was v slow because I kept my watch going during cooldowns, which were definitely shuffles.
