Despite taking yesterday completely off, tonight's BAA running club workout feel much the same way Sunday's half-marathon did: sluggish. I was excited for it, but as soon as I finished my first pickup, a 400m at supposildy 10k pace, I knew I was not going to able to maintain the pace I had planned. I wisely dropped back a group on the next one, and there I remained for the rest of the workout, though we did manage to increase our pace slightly from one pickup to the next. The goal was to do the whole think at 10k pace, and we finally hit that one the last one. All in all, I'd say that half-marathon, coming off a week of intense training, is continuing to take a big bite out of me, and I'd better ease off the next few days and keep thing short and gentle. Still, finished the workout really pleased that I'd managed to do all 4 1/2 miles of pickups and staying with the second group!

Workout: 400, 800, 1200, 1600, 1200, 800, 400 all @10k pace. Recoveries were short but not unreasonable: 1 min after the 4s and 8s, and 2min after the 12s and 16. Ended with 10 50m striders on the grass.

10min strength this morning (also, probably not a good thing to do until after the workout)
