The Grand Classic Course Preview 2017

Today we drove to Grand Classic for the course preview. I had a surprisingly really good and talkative car of Broken Ankles Hegger, Garmin, Taylor, and Kaitlyn. I found out that apparently my chocolate milk mile video was part of the reason that inspired Kaitlyn to come to MSU. I did not know those videos had influence, DAMN! I also found out the origin of Garmin's new holiday nickname- "Hayride Slayride". I'm still advocate for making Ryan Whinnery's new holiday nickname Spooky Ryan Whinnery, but that probably won't catch on :-/.

Anyways, the workout was a one mile warmup, 3x 6 min threshold pace with 2 min standing rest, and a one mile cooldown. The workout felt super easy, I just stuck with Paolo, BJ, Lucas, Garrett, and (Spooky) Ryan Whinnery for the entire time. It didn't feel like too much of an effort at all and was a pre-race session.

The course is looking good, and I'm excited to race it on Saturday. I'm making it a goal in my next 2 8Ks to try and go sub 27. That'd be litty city, but we will wait and see!
