What's a couple lil' 1200s between friends?

...that quote is what I said to Rose by way of talking her into doing yet a 5th 1200 pickup after she'd already committed to doing 4. She was significantly faster than me when I first met her early in the season but I seem to have finally caught up. I was also running ahead of Katsu and Hiro in our pack, though to be fair Katsu is still recovering from the Berlin Marathon. Still, I think I've made a lot of progress and am back up where I should be.

Workout:
- 5x1200m @10k pace (but w/ the middle lap at 5k) with a 400m recovery.
- 1600m starting @10k and cutting down to 5k (though I did the last lap in 78 which is a wee bit fast)

After feeling beat down for a whole week (culminating in an slow showing in last week's workout), I took the next 7 days pretty light (about half my usual mileage) and it paid off. I felt good. My pacing wasn't quite what it should have been (usually too fast) but the faster middle lap definitely broke up the monotony of the 1200s and I was never in doubt that I would be able to finish it with the top group. Cooled down 2 miles with Charlotte afterward.
