The Worst Kind of Weather

Today I warmed up about a mile, worked out 16x400 at 5K pace with 1 minute standing rest, and cooled down about a mile. It was 40s and raining the entire time, so it was a very miserable workout.

I got out of class late, but luckily Lucas was late too so we ran to ELHS track together. We did the first 8 reps with the boys and the last 8 together. I didn't warm up very well for this workout unfortunately, so I think because of this my left shin was bothering me for most of the workout. I still got through it, but it was definitely feeling meh. The workout still felt super easy. Lucas and I were able to talk for a lot of the reps and everyone pretended to be racing a Diamond League race with British commentary for most of the reps per usual lol.

We averaged between 74 and 78 seconds on the reps. I'd say most of them were 77s, but I didn't remember all of my splits to be honest. 16 is a lot! Overall, the workout felt super easy despite my shin bothering me. I think I'm ready to dick it for the rest of the week for regionals.
