Comments:
I really wish this workout had more variety instead of being a mind-numbing test of psychological perseverance over moderate pain and intense boredom. That said, I was pretty pleased with myself! Ran it with Katsu, Charlotte, and that older white guy whose name I can't remember. We started with an 800 @ 5k pace, then 4 x mile @ Lactaid Threshold (the pace you can race for an hour), and finally another 800 @5k. I exceed my goal time on every one of them, though even my goal time was probably unrealistically fast given the shape I'm in. I really could not hold that pace we were running for an hour straight. The one lap recovery between each was more than enough to catch my breath though, and I never doubted my ability to finish, only my sanity. No one else seemed in the mood for chatting during our pickups! I had to make do with singing different songs to myself each lap to pass the time and take my mind off how many more laps there were to go.
Overall felt good
