January 12, 2018 (Afternoon)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 15 or so
Comments:
Today, I ran 1.1 to IM West, 6 down Grand River, and 1.2 back to Gunson. Yesterday it was 50 degrees and rainy, while today was a solid 15 degrees and icy/snowy af. I wore shorts yesterday dammit! The sidewalks were covered in ice and snow, which made for some tough footing, rough terrain, and a lot of character building.
A mile into the run, while we were on the River Trail, we saw 2 dogs in the woods with their owns. One of the dogs chased us down! The insanely fluffy retriever lunged at me first. He was just being playful, but I got scared for a hot sec lol. Then he went after Peter and soon charged to the front of the pack to down BJ, who was leading. He definitely wanted to overtake BJ and lead the pack. Definitely an interesting experience. Who let the dogs out? (Ok i'll stop).
Overall a tough day, but a good character builder. Shoutout to fellow loggers BJ, Austin, Tyler, and Hunter for braving out the harsh conditions.
