Bouncy Bridge (1999-2018)

(It looks like the trails were created in 1999, so I'll just go with that lol)

...I'll never forget the moment when all of the happiness I knew in my life had... dissipated. It started off like every other Tuesday run.

I was running with the boys, shooting the usual shit. We turned to go on the Bouncy Bridge trail. I immediately knew something was off when the trail was closed off. A lump grew in the back of my throat. Despite the high 20 degree whether and ridiculous wind, I felt a hint of sweat form on forehead. I continued down the forbidden path that became one large sheet of ice. And that's when the chaos happened.

We headed towards the bouncy bridge and that's when I heard the first cry of anguish. My vision started to flash in black and white streaks. I saw.... construction.... absence.... death.... a lack of bounce. The bouncy bridge..... was torn down. I look around me..... Men falling to their knees.... men being taken down by the never ending layer of ice, sliding 10ft on their back in a hell-loop of cold agony (RIP Tyler, he took quite a spill). I fell to my knees and gave one last prayer to the death of this great trail.

So the bouncy bridge is gone now.... due to government, corporate scumbags. What a loss. After this point, we picked up the pace. But the chatter died down and we ran in silence to commemorate our lost ally (well actually we picked up the pace too much and got tired lol). May the bouncy bridge rest in peace.

I'll end on a quote "They may take our lives, but they'll never take our bounce". It's what the bridge would have wanted, gentlemen.

So generic run info: 8 or so miles in total. Legs feel meh now. Went too hard but oh well. I'm ready to kill it at Jet's Pizza Invitational.
