Today's workout was 4x200, 4x400, and 1x600 at mile pace. I did a pretty typical warmup, but did a very extended cool down both inside and outside. Not sure why, but I definitely a boat load of miles in today.
Ladder-like workouts are always the worst, because you end with the longest distance. I definitely preferred last week's workout, but I still had a great workout. I ran consistently fast splits and never got slower. We started the 200s talking, so it appears I'm starting to conquer the 33-34 second 200m. It started to feel harder in the middle of the 400s, but they seemed to go by fast. Unfortunately, I had to race to the bathroom right before the 600, but I ended up running a 1:38 final 600m without too much of an effort (still hurt in the last 100m though lol). So, I'd call a successful workout.
And as Little Finger said "Chaos is a ladder". Yup not sure how that necessarily relates but im going to force it to. The chaotic part was trying to swerve through so many people on the track. And ladders just suck. But yeah, this is probably the worst paragraph I've written in the history of running logs RIP. Fuck the log, I'm too tired to make this anymore interesting.
