This is the long-awaited (well probably not) sequel to my previous log "2K Ambitions". Last time on "2K Ambitions" RVP set out to reset the 2K record of 6:13 by Tall Paul Salach. Things looked good for RVP; however, danger stood in his way of glory. The blood-thirsty Jacob Young and the Wild Card Red Cap Jack stood in RVP's way of getting one of the weakest club records out there. The stakes couldn't be any more mediocre! During the race, "the savage-beast-animal" Mighty Jake Young set the pace at a blazing, lukewarm shower pace with RVP sitting on him, waiting to pouce. Red Cap Jack..... well I guess he wasn't much of a factor RIP. With 800m, RVP made a deadly move that broke up the race. With a totally straight slap of the butt, Jacob Young sent RVP to go after that record. And though his bowels nearly betrayed him, RVP set a new club record of 5:52...... One minute and eight seconds slower than Hicham El Guerrouj's 2K world record. RVP was thrilled, delighted, could not be any happier.... until of course Paolo savaged his mile record in a solo mile effort moments later. Truly a shocking ending to what one would have thought to be a glorious tale.

Now this time on "3K Ambitions", the stakes are slightly lower, but there's one extra kilometer involved. One week ago, our hero RVP stole back Paolo Guarano's mile record back by 0.2 second. And though that would be a much more interesting tale to talk about, now RVP arrogantly put his seed time at 9:10 and was accidentally placed in the championship heat! Will our "champion" RVP conquer his really shitty freshmen PR of 9:41? Will RVP get absolutely shredded by the dude from San Fransisco Academy of Art who's seeded at 8:22? Will RVP potentially threaten the 9 minute barrier and not even be eligible for a new club record?! Find out in 3K Ambitions!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully, it'll be like the "Empire Strikes Back" of the horrible series and not like the "Independence Day 2: Resurgence" of the series. But ya know most sequels suck, so lol.

Anyways, I ran the 3.65 loop from Gunson to Hagadorn to Burcham to Abbott to Grand River and Gunson. I kept a super easy pace and was just resting up for my 3K tomorrow. My legs still felt meh from yesterday, but hopefully after some stretching and rolling, I'll be fine. I found out I'm in the championship heat of the 3K, so hopefully I survive that. Overall, I got my goals set and I think I'm ready to go. (definitely no hint at my goals in the trailer synopsis above).
