The 2nd workout of Phase III was 3 sets of 600m at mile pace, 30 sec rest, 200m at 800m pace, and a 7 min base run. I remember from last year that this workout was really tough. So I dreaded it and it was pretty much as bad as expected, but it went by fast.

The first two 600s were really slow. Paolo and I went out in 36 by accident for the first 200 of the 600 lol. I guess 5K pace from Monday really fucked us up. So the first 2 600s were slow, but the 200s were right on pace for me.

I noticed that I was slow on the base runs though. Especially on the last 2, I seemed to be well behind the main group. The lactic acid in legs was pretty bad. But surprisingly, I had a great last set with a 1:39 600 and 28 200m. So that was lit, but I almost got lapped by the mid D crew on the last base run lmao.

So overall I didn't feel too hot, but I put in the work. I'm gonna take these next few days really easy so I can send it at GVSU.

Speaking of GVSU... fuck GVSU Big Meet. They screwed us over so hard making events $25 per EVENT, which we did not know about until today. I guess that's on us technically, but it has not been like that in the past. For any 60m dash runners (which we have one or two signed up), that's $0.40 every meter! Fuck that! And this morning I basically had to act as our club PR guy, which was actually kind of fun lol. It was a huge shit show, but surprisingly not as many people dropped as I had expected! So that's at least good. Hope to see a lot of you guys still at the Big Meet
