First of all, I am logging this at 1:15pm on Thursday for last night's workout. I'm usually the kinda guy to get my shit done right away, but I had some good conversation with Carlyn in our living room about her problems with her roommate Emily. I won't going into details of course but it's pretty messed up. And then The TWolves fucked themselves over against the Cavs and I was just really mad so then I went to bed without ever getting to my log until now.

Workout was 4x1600m w/ 1:00 rest at threshold pace, and then some "extended strides" of 200m. I looked up what my actual threshold pace was and it is actually like 5:32 per mile, so like 5:30 for 1600m. I hit 5:31.8, 5:30.8, 5:32.8, 5:30.3 for an average of 5:31.4. So slightly slow but really not bad. Garrett and Red Cap hung with me the whole time. It felt really easy as it should have. Thresholds are not meant to take a whole lot out of you, especially if you're only doing 4x1600. Felt like I could have easily done 2 or 3 more, which made me realize that we really should be doing longer workouts. Lucas planned us using Jack Daniels yes, but he chose the lower mileage version for us. I'll be fixing this issue for future workouts. But since I am racing 5k on Friday morning I would have only done 4 repeats anyway. Afterwards I did 2 200's hitting 32.8 and 32.3.

I guess I feel good for the Big Meet. But we are forecasted for a snow storm from now until Saturday morning, so this is going to likely be MEGA rip travel to and from GVSU.
