Cruise 1000's baby. It was lit. 8x1000 @ 5k pace w/ 600m jog. This was finally a super legit workout. Splits:

Garrett hung with me for the first 4 and then dropped. T Cook pushed himself well and tried to hang on as much as he could. I think he was hitting like 3:15's which is 16:15 pace so that's legit. I felt really good for the last one. With 100m to go Ryan Garman came up on my shoulder (he was doing a 200m stride) and that made me push it at the end. I have no doubt I could have broken 3:00 if I just went balls to the wall the entire way but whatever. I'm very happy with the workout and a 3:08.8 per 1000m is pace for a 15:44 5k so it's good. Previous variations of this workout:

August 29th: 8x1000 w/ 400m jog on pavement averaging 3:11.5
October 3rd: 8x1000 w/ 3:00 standing rest at the arboretum averaging 3:07.5

Hard to compare this workout to those but clearly tonight was still really good.


Also, bringing my speakers was really fun. It's just kind of a hassle to bring but I'll do my best to bring it especially for the tough workouts like tonight.
