DCSAA Indoor Championships

I have a lot of thoughts but I'm not going to write everything out here just yet... Ran the second leg of the 4x800 first. Jack to me to Corbin to Aaron. I felt like I competed well, and that I was able to pull in a good kick. I split 32, 34, 34, 34, tying my all-time PR for the 800! Even through adversity, a great effort from the team.

In the 3200, I raced the first half with LEvi. I felt relaxed, and tried to not jump out too fast during the first half of the race and trust that I could pass the two guys that were way ahead of me. I ended up passing one of them, finishing second in my heat and eighth over all, which I'm happy with. Don't have exact splits except I think I remember looking at Anthony's sheet and seeing that I closed in 42 and then 36 on the last lap, but that could be wrong. Ran this 26 seconds faster than I did here last year, which is really encouraging for the spring and beyond.

I'm grateful to have this team around me–the winter season is a tough one to get through. But I know that I'll remember this team; it was great running alongside and competing with everyone, and I'm really excited to continue this momentum that we have into the spring.
