I think this is a great transition run to try get som speed back in but it is nothing too hard...

Let's shoot for this pattern if possible

Jog 1 min easy
Run 1 min a bit faster
Walk 1 min.

This is a 3 min. Set that I would like to do 10 times for a total of 30 min of run/walk


I know this is a lot of change of pace but it is not that long of a workout and will be good for you to change speeds with the one min jogs and one minute faster pieces.
You certainly don't have to go all out but say for example you are jogging the easy min. at around 12 min pace, the faster minute should be around 11 min pace.

I definitely don't kneed the splits for every minute but just the overall pace for 30 min. And to know that you did it!
