**ummm ok so here's the story. today is day one of stupid period so this was a yucktastic run that i almost gave up on. breathing sucked, body felt heavy, bad mental space. thankfully tracy said something the other week that you had told her, it's ok to be tired and do runs yucky cuz the marathon is gonna be like that. so i kept repeating that and just did it and tried not to look at the watch. took a few walk breaks and drank. was disappointed in pace til i realized it was pretty darn close to 10k pr pace. so i dunno...i got it done anyway..bleh

This one can be done today or tomorrow.
It is HMspecific and should help you be prepared for Alien Run;)
We’ve done it before but not mid week I don’t think.


So again Run for 1 hour Starting at regular pace effort but you are trying to speed up every 20 min. IF possible,.... I would love for you to NOT look at pace on the watch until it is over. You can hit split every 20 min. If you want, but I want you to go more by feel than anything!

So effort wise, you are running the first 20 min. at maybe 80% effort and then the next 20 at 85 to 90% and the last 20 at 90 to 95% effort.
So you are working pretty hard by the end!)

Depending on conditions and hills, the pace may not change too much but that is ok as long as the effort does.

I think if you listen to your body and keep that first 20 min within yourself you will be able to get a fast overall pace. I
So we are Focusing more on speed endurance today not just speed itself .
Again don't even worry about how many miles you hit until the end !!!
