Committed to racing the Philadelphia marathon this up coming fall. Almost a full year till race the race. Bill Moreland will be my coach through the duration of my training. The race schedule as of right now for competitive racing is as follows. Early may-Broad street ten mile in Philadelphia. Its pretty early to set any goal time, last year I was just under the 1 hour mark, so anything better than that would be cool. After that my next competitive race will be a half marathon possibly two depending on the dates. The decisions are between the Philadelphia distance run or, the ocean city half. Then it will all culminate with the Philadelphia marathon in November. As of right now the goal is just to get some substantial base in as well as lose some serious weight. I would like to be in the low 140's with decent muscle on. The marathon goal is sub 2:40. 2:30 would be amazing, I would also like to qualify for Boston out of it. I generally need to stop drinking and definitely need to stop smoking cigarettes none of those are good things. So here is where it all starts the first steps in a new journey.
