Took yesterday as a much needed off day after a couple of days of pretty bad running. Legs felt much fresher but were worse than the breathing. First lap around was good, had to make a 5 minute stop before continuing on for lap two. Felt good enough mentally and physically on lap two that I decided to push the pace a bit. Ended up negative splitting every mile, finished in on a 6:53 mile.
The odd thing about it was that my heart rate was very high the whole time and the last I was in my “Threshold” or maximum which is around or over 170. Even though this is true, I felt good.
Overall was a much better day and wasn’t straining to much by the end (legs were a bit heavy). Happy that I’m hitting my pace again.
