Thorah Island Day Seven: Long Run

I haven’t done enough long runs this summer but this one went surprisingly well. Did three loops around the island and stopped twice to stretch the knee and get water.
Other than the stop my legs felt good through the first 6 miles. Knee was on and off, really bad for a couple of mins then good for the next few. Felt ok going into lap three, legs were heavy but the breathing was completely normal. The first two laps I was breathing through my nose. The first few miles were at 7:40-7:50 when I was trying to do 8 flat. I guess really steady for me now is 7:45. Lap 2 and 3 I started to pick it up and by the end I was averaging around 7:20. Pretty much negative split the whole run which is nice. By the end my legs were pretty heavy and the breathing was decent.
My legs are definitely not used to the long runs, considering I’ve only done like 2 the rest of the summer.
