Comments:
Fucked off the get go, never got into a rhythm. Idk why Skelly's instagram post of 6.5 @ 6:45 pace got me wanting to compete. Took the first mile slow 7:17 - feels like a slug off fresh legs. Mile 2 & 3 felt good, controlled. Mile 4 & 5 out of nowhere my legs were trashed, gassed, heavy. Not to mention there are the hill, and the wind was here too. Mile 6 went way too fast which is probably why my HR was up overall for this run, more on that later. Mile 7, hill was brutal, finish was tough. Another hard run. I just need to stick with my consistent 6:55-7:10 pace runs. Was doing some HR searching on old runs and I want to get my HR down to 130s ideally. Bought the garmin chest strap today. This same run at same overall pace in the past has been lower AVG and max heartrate. Mile 6 probably the main reason but also just felt gassed 3.5 in. Oh well. Shin splint felt worse warming up than it did running. Only a small flare up half a mile or so in.
