Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 70 - nice!
Comments:
Thankful to get out at 9a! Was pretty nice out (60-70 deg’s ... high was 91 today - not bad at all) ... felt REALLY good! Was able to cruise at a sub-8min pace comfortably which is progress (first time doing that for an hour in a year! - since right before Broken Arrow) ...Grips are def helping keep things symmetrical. I’ll occasionally look down at my feet and see “whole foot landing” which is nice.
Worked in the Kitchen at CFA tonight which is out of the norm. One of our Kitchen TM’s tested positive for COVID—19 (from his sister). Even though CDC guidelines are lax when it comes to “essential businesses” quarantining employees who had contact >-10–15min within 6’ ... we felt it was the right thing to do to have those TM’s in contact quarantine for 14days (while paying them of course! CFA *is* the most caring company - I truly believe that - especially our store). So yeah, 15–16weeks in and our first case! I imagine we may see more ... but nonetheless, happy to help support (we quarantined 11 TM’s!) .... Interesting season for sure! Per protocol as well, we called every TM (=Team Member) to let them know what was going on (100 TM’s!) ... they appreciated the transparency ... Also The Corporate CFA Food Safety Team & Placer County Health were super impressed with our healthy/safety practices which was a reassurance that we are doing the right things (shoot, we serve 2200 guests a day! ... And have 16 health/safety practices in place:
1. Masks (even for guests)
2. Hand washing every 30min
3. Sanitizing/disenfecting high touch surfaces every 30min
4. Contactless payment for Credit Cards (guests swipe their own card)
5. Gloves for all TM’s
6. Contactless Food Delivery (on trays)
7. Physical Distancing
8. A medic station that pre-screens/temps every TM before their shift
9. Outside TM Handwashing Station (we have 10 positions outside ....In N Out stands no chance ...we do double what they do in sales)
10. Elimination of “exposed” food items (ie: whips/cherries for shakes, sliced lemons, cones)
11. Cash Transactions are transported in plastic bins
12. Receipts are only given at customers request
13. Handwashing in between every cash transaction
14. All condiment pods emptied (All condiments delivered to guest in a bag)
15. Restrooms closed to guests and disinfected every hour
16. Playground closed (obvious one)
CFA is committed to being one of the last quick-service restaurants to allow limited dine-in (they just released some guidelines the other day) and we as a store are committed to being the last restaurant in America to open our dining room lol ... I love our leadership team
