Comments:
Took a long ride through Virginia today. I rarely go to Virginia but I felt an urge to check out the W&OD trail which I haven’t ridden in over a decade, maybe two. It’s rather unmemorable given that much of the scenery consists of kudzu and high-voltage wires but you can go pretty darn fast I’m just cool. I maintained a 2:53 mile pace for 5 miles according to the mile marker signs. The heat was 96 according to my phone so I’m pretty darn proud of myself. The water cooler at a trail side bar in Vienna came in pretty clutch. Also, I found the western cornerstone! Only 11 more original DC boundary stones I haven’t been to. On my way there I passed through a familiar neighborhood where I went for a run with a couple of people last August. If I’m not mistaken, I believe a future Eph lives there. Not sure which street but I think I recall it’s one of the ones in that confusing neighborhood where the street signs are black-on-white and have numbers in the 30s.
