What a great workout!
Plan was to hit 3 sets of 4x400, 60s rest betweeen each rep, 400m jog between each set. More of a rhythm workout: Starting at Cruise-Interval/Tempo and working down to Anaerobic Threshold.
I ended up leading every one since Parker liked the pace-setting. Hit the first one in 92 and was curious if I could drop 1sec down each one. Made it happen! Finished the last one in 81 and definitely felt that was right at my threshold.
Side note: Since spring sports were cancelled at the middle school, nobody had been up-keeping the track - tons of star thistle and weeds in Lane 1 (not to mention an aloof walker who didn’t get the hint to walk in lane 3-4) which made it interesting! Not sure what handicap I get for each one :) ....So, pretty happy overall. Never felt taxed cardio-wise, just started to feel the first signs of real fatigue on the last 2 (enjoyed a little extra oxygen coming from Tahoe!)
