Weather: Sunny and windy
Comments:
No warm up. No cool down. Just an out and back I didn't think I'd have time to fit in today. Met with Dr. Rashbaum today who diagnosed me in the fall with a mind body disorder that results in back pain. I brought up some fears of mine about running too much which he then iconically responded with: "You know I just saw a study showing a link between running too much and cardiac issues," which he then pulled up and said "oh but these guys are running 50 hours a week regularly, and you're running like 25 miles a week? Looks like you should be good." I died. It was so funny, but getting that green light from him meant a lot. He told me the goal is me running as much as my heart desires and it will only help in my recovery.
Todays run felt like a victory. I literally started to sing we are the champions on my way back. Meeting with Dr. Rashbaum reminded me of how far I've come. I am so healthy. I. am. healthy.
