I probably didnt need to wake up as early as I did, but I wasnt sure where I was going and I knew I needed to get on those flights. So I rolled out of the hotel around 4am and walked down to the Arlanda Express, a straight shot high speed train to the airport. Its super convenient. The streets were eerie that early not a lot of people out but felt calm and comfortable. I can't say that about other major US cities. I would not hang out at the central train station at 4am anywhere else. In hindsight it was fine airport was pretty much empty and I made it through on the flight to London. Was sad to leave and knew I needed to get back to reality as the clouds came in and covered the green Swedish landscape. Im glad I opted for a window seat because the approach into Heathrow was awesome saw a lot of the city, soccer stadiums, and landmarks. Cant say I have been to London but this was as close as you could get otherwise. I did not need 6hr layover there but kept myself busy reading, walking around, getting food. It was pretty busy again Its crazy to imagine its just like that all the time. Flight back home was uneventful and felt longer because its not sleeping overnight. I watched 3 movies and napped a little. Was very tired arriving back at CVG which takes a little longer because you need to go through customs and its slightly understaffed because its only one or two flights. Felt weird and normal at the same time being back. Worst part was it was like 90 when I walked out of the terminal. WTF is going on here. Maybe that was my favorite part was the temperature and weather over in Scandinavia. Lets see how jet lag goes. All in all once I finally got settled at home it took almost 24 hrs from when I left the hotel. Thats a long day no matter how you slice it. Looking back, I was so burnt out when I left I wasnt sure what was going on, but with some blind faith and Rick on my side, it all worked out in the end.
