Before anything else...BW's track is a different world...
So it was decided that I am now permanently a sprinter. This makes me sad, but I guess I might as well try it! If I don't do well, then I have 3 more years to try other things. If I do do well, then I guess I'm stuck here. But I'm still doing cross! Which makes me...?
I ran the 500 and the 200 in 1:25 and 29.82, respectively. I need to get out of my head and just let my body do the work. I'm tired, but not as tired as I keep telling myself - I have sooo much more that I'm just not using.
So points I need to incorporate into my races:
*GET OUT - somehow I hear this every time, in practice and in races. I need to just not think about it and do it.
*DON'T HESITATE - JUST GO - MAKE A MOVE - I have so much more than the sprinters on the back half of the 400/500. Instead of just going with them, I need to pass them and make them work. I have to stop saving energy - what do I need to save it for?
*LEAN FORWARD - don't just pop up when I get out, and have a slight forward lean when I'm running. I'm running ahead, so I need to push forward.
