We decided to try and extend my run to three miles today for the first time, as long as I went no faster than 8:00 pace. My knee was a little sore toward the end, but did not lash out violently in pain. To be honest, I was more worried about how horrendously out of shape I am than my knee hurting. This is very good. As long as I SLOWLY progress toward longer runs, more frequent runs, faster runs, and maybe runs on real terrrain, I think I am just about in line to be able to do something close to normal summer training and hopefully do decently in cross-country.
