I decided that since I haven't done an elliptical "tempo" since January 26th and I am horribly out-of-shape, I'd try one today. So, I did a 10 minute "warm-up" and then cranked the resistance up to level 16 and held about 9 mph. I only did this for half an hour and cooled down for the last 20 minutes. I wasn't going to run today, but I felt like my knee could have handled if I had.
