first leg - took many minutes till i courageously jumped into the choppy choppy lake michigan waters. alex decided to wait for me while i swam and was going to be my transition coach :)
swimming, which is normally my super strong leg (first one, and i like it) but this time the waves were crashing into my face, and i was swallowing down tons of water, and just freaking out about the conditions. but i calmed down after a bit and managed to do a bit more than i needed to for a half triathalon swim.
