Weather: cloudy, cool and 100% humidity
Comments:
After about 10 days of sick with little running. I wasn't sure about doing this race (thought about scaling down to the 5k). Decided to just see if I could cover the distance and not worry about the time. The day was cooer than recently though very humid. Drank a ton...2 cups at nearly every water stop (12 or so). Only had 1 Gel and could have used a second. Took it in thirds about every 10 minutes from 1 hour to 1:20. Mostly a flat course with one notable 3/4 mile steep climb. Walked that and in other places as needed. Overall, I am very satisfied with the run and with this distance am about 3 weeks ahead of Higdon. Will probably step-back in the next week.
