Dear Diary,
Ran out today, short 1 mile warmup straight to the underpass hill. Then I did 6 hills with full recovery between hill (2 minutes). You ran up the hill for 40 seconds, and then turned around. I was supposed to do 8 but the hills really killed on my shins. The good part is they didn't hurt as much when doing the 400s, and 200s on grass (thank goodness). I was freaked out I wasn't going to be able to do the whole workout because they really hurt doing hills. Water break. I did a warmup jog around the capture-the-flag park to understand the route of the 400s with the Mahon. After that did 4 400s at the park with 3 minute rest between. My pace was about 1:53 but me and Delilah stayed together going a little too fast at low 1:50s, upper 1:40s, except for the last one which I was slow on (1:56). WAter break. Then I did 6 200s, with full recovery between at 2 minutes. My pace for that was 56 seconds, but Delilah and I went a little fast staying at lower 50s. The whole time I practiced running through the line. Water break. Then my cool down was running back to the fitness center, with Magaly. It was the short way back so only about a half mile. Adelmann also started stretching partners (Julia!). Note: My right leg is more flexible. and added up the times for each distance.
