Run for the Pie!!!

It's great to finally start racing!!

I was kind of disappointed with my time, but after thinking about it, I didn't do all that great because it is a hard course and the first race of the season. I didn't do too good about eating and sleeping well before the race, so that is something I will do better with future races.

I don't know if "Take it Easy" by The Eagles is the best song to have running through your head during a race.

My first mile was pretty good. I started off pretty good before remembering that this isn't a 1600 and that I needed to slow down. I started off quite a bit behind Nathan and slowly worked my way forward.

My second mile was really good. I was passing plenty of people. I eventually passed Nathan. I liked the downhill apart from my sidecramp which was made worse by going downhill.

I think the third mile probably started sometime during the downhill. My third mile was OK. I had a pretty bad cramp so I wasn't running my best. I didn't like how long it took from the bottom of the big hill to get to the finish. I thought it wasn't too much further but it was a lot further.
