Today was a good day, because I got a new P.R. At first I was disappointed because my time was 16:09 or something, but then I found out the course was 2.1. My last two mile race time was like 16:00 or something. got there early, and ran the warmup, but my shins as well as my ankles were hurting pretty bad. I was like Whhhhhhattt but then I realized it was the Superfeet. Let me tell you there is nothing super about those insoles. They actually hurt me more. Anyway I forgot the original soles so I had to run in them. Drills were okay, but it was kind of rushed so we didn't get to do strides or a huddle. Bang of the gun and the race was on. For most of the race, I felt okay but I was a little dissapointed because I went out a little slow? so I didn't run with Bettine. First half mile I was with Julia and Delilah but I had a hard time getting in front of them. When I broke free, my mile was at 7:55. I really did try to pick it up and I think I did okay. I kicked and I did a pretty good job of running through the line. Then after hyperventilating, got some water, and did 2 400s, full recovery. Then me and Julia cooled down at a dead man's jog. Dang Superfeet, I'm never wearing those again. Note: 400 and cooldown times are based of other girls times I ran with. And I don't get why people considered this an easy race. If you're leaving everything out there every race, I don't think any race is easy.
