i felt like i was doing well in the race and i had a good finish, but my time was just awful. im really disappointed because i feel like ive worked really hard this summer and at the practices, and ive been doing abs and pushups on my own almost every night, and my times are just not where they should be. im only 30 seconds faster this year than i got last year, and i wanted a time closer to 23 minutes if not below that. i want to get to 21 minutes by the end of the season, and at this point, i really dont see that happening. i dont know what else i can do to get myself to that kind of time. i think my problem is that im afraid of going at a faster pace throughout the race, because im afraid of dying at the end. ugh. well hopefully i can keep a fast pace and pass a bunch of people at silverwood. last year, i got 22:53 at silverwood, so next weekend im hoping for at least 22:30. but i suppose we'll see
