Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Longest run of my life. 3 freaking hours! Started out at 11:45 at night planning to run for an hour, maybe hour and a half. Started discovering all sorts of cool things along the way - John Adam's Birthplace, John Quincy Adam's Birthplace, a statue of Scottish poet Robert Burns, a hill from which Abigail Adams watched the battle of bunker hill, a sketchy industrail area in Braintree with lots of car lots and fuel stations, the retired warship U.S.S. Salem, the MBTA ferry from Quincy to Boston, a brand new drawbridge from Quincy to Weymouth, a cop who informed me I'd been going south rather than north for the last 5 miles, Abigail Adam's birthplace, Eastern Nazarine College, a Chinese business district in Wollonston, and the church where both Adams presidents are buried. Probably averaging 7:30 to 8:00 minute pace the whole run, but pushed it down to 6:30ish for the last 3 miles. Felt great, really lose and limber for the first couple hours, started to feel weary around hour 2, but then revived half an hour later for a strong finish. Suprisingly didn't get hungry or thirsty the whole time, in spite of not having eaten since around 7. Next day v. little soreness, except in my left calf.
