meadow repeats, take two

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 65 nice

Comments:
WU to meadow, drills
5*mile, goal 5:05-5:15; split 5:15s then a 5:10 final interval.
CD through Little Italy then a barefoot mile. stretch, pushups, abs, 10min ice bath.

My body refused to be at the front of the group after yesterday's run. I could chalk this up again to not being mentally there, but I'll be a little lenient after yesterday.

I figure I only have two things going for me at this point in the season:
1) I can run decent workouts after a huge long run the day before, or after running a morning run the morning of workouts. I rarely feel fresh for workouts, but I still run as near to the front of the group as much as I can for as long as I can, which is usually at least marginally successful, but not today. I can only trust in the mileage and then in the taper.
2) I don't remember my last run where I haven't thought how hard I'll have to get out in mile 1, how much the middle miles 2-4 are going to hurt, and how hard I'll have to kick mile 5 to squeak out All-American. "Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run what readeth it."
