Exercise Type: Run

Weather: Cool

Comments:
Well, this was not a good race for me. I just did not run well. All that hard work does not turn into this... I was thinking after what I could have done better, get more sleep or pushed myself more in the race here or there. And then I figured out the problem right there. I am thinking too much, I need to just run. So here is my recap...
1st mile-Went out too slow and it still felt horrible.
2nd mile-I started to pass a lot of people but, not to be cocky or anything, I should have been way ahead of all of them in the first place.
3rd mile-Just hell. I died and just got passed a lot.
So I found this quote think it is so true...
"Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired. When you were younger the mind could make you dance all night, and the body was never tired...You've always got to make the mind take over and keep going."
- George S. Patton, U.S. Army General and 1912 Olympian
