Comments:
kind of a weird day. we left early and drove for most of the day. i didn't really eat any meals but just snacked on bananas and bagels. i don't think that helped me. also i needed to drink more water. running around the course got me dehydrated and then during the race i felt thirsty and my stomach hurt. i ran out the first mile fast, 5:05, but the second was 5:30 and then 5:50. i felt pretty rough. i started to race again for the last two and ended up passing a bunch of people in the last 2000 meters. i think i could've run a better race, but this'll do for now. i need to work on being more consistent mile-to-mile in a race and on not giving up so many places in the second and third miles.
