Warrior Mountain

October 2, 2010 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: Not to shabby, not to shabby...

Comments:
Was hoping to rebound from a bad race last week to a great race this week, well that didn't happen fully, but none the less it was a good race. This race I really tried to keep positive thoughts in my head (even when running up 45 degrees of hell), and also tried to let my mind control my body, not my body control my mind... Well here is my race recap:
1st mile: Felt good, went out pretty fast and felt smooth, not that difficult at all.
2nd mile: Ran into the Great Wall of China it almost seemed like but still just tried to keep a good pace and not let outside forces affect my race, which kept me going...
3rd mile: I still don't know what got into me... I just got up little hill fast after that hairpin turn and just got that second wind and started on a crazy pace... Bakow was about 50-75 meters ahead of me and Ryan even further. So I just kept going and about halfway down the hill I got Bakow and some other guy, then on the last stretch I got Ryan and out kicked him. Still think I had a little left in me though which mad me a little frustrated but none the less I still ran a good race.
And here is your quote of the day from some Nampa kid as he first sees 45 degrees of hell: "Holy crap!". It was pretty funny right when he said it and it made me that much more pumped up when I ran up it in my race.
