Exercise Type: Run

Weather: a little hot

Comments:
Sorry, this one's kind of long...
Well. I was awfully worried because my cold reached its peak today and I was sniffling and coughing all through the day. But...

Mile 1: All I was focusing on was to keep up with one of the 3 girls. It didn't matter which one. Just one of them. I needed a pace setter, and I know that if it weren't for Sarah being so wonderful I would have fallen behind.

Mile 2: This is where the wheels almost came off, really, they almost did. My face smacked into "the wall" and my body told me to quit. It told me I was tired, and that I wasn't strong enough to race well anymore. But there was just something about my new decision of running unselfishly that got me through it. I remembered the awful disappointment I've felt after every race this season. And I wasn't going to let down the girls again. I was so tired of letting them down. For us to get to state, we're all going to have to run for each other. We can't afford for me to be selfish. And me realizing that helped push me through the race.

Mile 3: Pushing. Pushing. Pushing. I was so tired. But I was able to keep up with Sarah until the last 200ish.

All in all, I'm mildly pleased. I'm not disappointed, but it's not like I'm jumping up and down because I'm still not where I want to be or where I know I should be. I want to do so much better than this. BUT this was a HUGE step in the right direction.
And it's helped me restore my confidence. I know that I'm capable now. Look out districts.

Oh, and how could I forget! First place on both sides!! And oh my gosh Meghan and Lila and Savannah in the top 10. And Rachael Molly and Sarah PR'd! And holy cow! The guys did amazing too! Chris, Dan, Dylan, Ryan and Nick all in the top 10!? And then Austin got on varsity! And it sounds like a lot of other people PR'd! Okay, sorry, I'm just stating facts that everyone already knows but oh well, I'm excited because that's absolutely amazing. Team, you all did INCREDIBLE. :D So good job everyone! :D

And...now I'll stop typing. :)
