Mmmm, today was wonderful! I don't even know where to start!
It did not feel like race day at all today! I woke up-didn't feel like race day. I lost my water bottle at lunch (I named him Garth so that he knows that I still love him and didn't mean to leave him in the gym)-still didn't feel like race day. On the bus going over-again, it didn't feel like race day.
I was kinda stressed though, because i didn't get in all my agilities and stretching in before the race, and I barely had time to go to the bathroom and get in a warm up in. The whole time I was thinking "I hate feeling so rushed!!" But then when I got to the starting line, I thought "You know, this is actually kinda nice. Let's just get on with it!" I said I quick prayer in my head cuz we didn't have time for a team prayer and the gun went off!
My only goal was to keep up with Rachael. I was blindly running, other than that!
Mile 1- I went out really agressive! I was passing girls left and right, and I know now that that's how I need to go out at districts. Rachael and Sarah were with me and it made me smile because when Rachael was finally up with me, she said "I'm here, I'm here!" Which is exactly what I told her at Bend :) Awwwww! I came in at 6:30 the first mile, which is 10 seconds faster than at Bend! Whoopdeedoo!
Mile 2- I was still positive this mile! I was starting to get kind of tired, but I was enjoying it. I passed this one red girl, and was hanging on to a blue and red girl with beautiful long blond hair (slightly jealous). I kept encouraging her, but she was out of breath so she never responded except after the race was over. I'm not really sure when this mile ended......
Mile 3- Pretty tired by now, but still feeling really good! I was starting to get kind of annoyed with whoever made up this course because I felt like I was just running around in circles. I blonde blue and red girl passed me with the blue girl with sunglasses on! (I could NOT believe that i was passed by a girl wearing sunglasses. That's like getting passed by someone wearing jeans...) Anyway, I could not bring myself to keep up with them. Near the end of the mile, Rusty told me there was just 300m left and I prayed that God would give me the courage to just beast it out. I remembered our work out on Monday and how much fun that was, and I took off. I almost passed the sunglasses girl...but not quite...
Anyways, I PR'D!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY!! PRaise the Lord! It took me all the way till West Park but I did it!!!! I broke 22!!! And girls and boys got first!!! And a BUNCH of people in the top ten!!! And austin's on varsity for districts!!! Meridian can't be stopped now!!! Let's get pumped for districts!

On another note, today is seriously my day because when I got home I played my favorite songs on the piano and then I won at solitaire on the very first try. Oh yes!
