November 18, 2010 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 47, sun setting

Comments:
since i overestimated the range of running clothing that would be available to me at my parents house, i was wearing possibly the most awkward running outfit of my life: my dad's socks (obv too big), black and yellow shorts--unrolled, all the way up at the natural waist, to hold down my red sleeveless under armour shirt--a necessity because i didn't have a sports bra to wear (shout out to my double A's, holla!), and a navy blue zip up fleece.
needless to say i looked like a real idiot, however this was no longer an issue about half way through my run, because it started getting dark. i hadn't taken into account how early the sun sets nowadays when i planned my day and decided to run at the metro parks. it had recently rained which meant i had to ford a couple streams and make my way across more than a few mud puddles--not an issue when i can see, but somewhat difficult in the dark of night--my shoes were saturated by the end of this mess.
this run wasn't a complete failure but it was getting increasingly annoying toward the end, when it started raining and i would have been genuinely miserable if i hadn't been able to appreciate the humor in this situation.
i was very, very cold on the drive back to cleveland.
