October 19, 2008 (Afternoon)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: cold, but sunny, so not too bad, still needed long sleeves though
Comments:
woke up freezing, so i wanted to wait until noonish when it would be warmer, but then i got hungry so i had to push it back a bit further. once i got out it wasn't too bad, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky, so it was nice. Pretty much every muscle in my legs were sore, especially my calves, all the little muscles on the sides especially, i guess the sponginess of the course took its toll. by about 4 into it I was no longer taking mini-Ontko strides and was able to open it up a bit, on the way back i felt great, and i was kind of daydreaming about upcoming races and training and whatnot and ended up speeding up--a lot--just under 6min pace average on the way back. Felt really good, but i'll have to get myself back under control come tuesday.
thought about doing ups today, but i did yesterday so i think i'm good, although depending on how bored i get later today i might end up doing them anyways.
