wasted such a good day

ran by myself around two today. got a good night's rest last night, felt rejuvenated when i woke up and was heading out on the long run as planned, but i didnt really loosen up as the run went on and by mile 3 i decided going long the way my legs felt wouldn't be a good idea. didnt get to stretch very well yesterday because i ran from northside, and i could feel it. so i still went another 4 miles, but it just wasnt a great run like i was hoping. i'll adjust mileage during the week a bit, and possibly go long saturday instead with the meet friday. we'll see. stretched really well today. should have got a little ice, i fear my knees are feeling the months of road/track running but nothing bad, just a "tired" sort of feeling. due to this I, may turn my cross train day next week into sunday off day completely. have to listen to the legs. not sure what i'm going to be running on friday, but chatted with both ben and brandon separately about it. if it were up to me, i'd be thinking another 5k, because i wont get a ton of chances from this point on to run, but at the same time, if i'm still feeling kind of tired like i was today, later this week, i'd be up for a 3k for sure. just going to roll with whatever i get though.
