i got to veale after the APO launch leadership seminar, only to find it full of ultimate frisbee players and girls wanting to get "a-phit." i was hoping to simulate the fartlek workout that everyone else did this morning, so i got the rundown via text from chris k. i really wanted a spinner for this workout, cause i was convinced that the cardio room bikes wouldn't cut it. but seeing as the track was covered with people, i relinquished that hope and headed for the cardio room. ran into drew there about 15min into his bike. i noticed that the room with the spinners was open and suggested to drew that we could get them and do the workout on the side of the track. he agreed. the closet with the bikes was in the middle of the frisbee field/court? so we had to wait to escape. ended up warming up about 10min in the closet before we could move the bikes out by the long jump pit. anyways--this was the workout:
2min on - 90s off
2min on - 75s off
2min on - 60s off
1min on - 45s off
1min on - 30s off
2min on - 90s off
2min on - 90s off
4x 30s on - 30s off
15min cooldown
stretched a bit in the locker room while chatting with drew and link. the end.
i was pretty satisfied with this workout. the effort wasn't extreme, but my legs were definitely burning for some of the time.
i'm hoping to do a bike/swim tomorrow - maybe 45min each?
