Exercise Type: Run

e-town was so busy today that the only time he had to run was at 8am. in retrospect, it's good that i got up early, because i've had a busy day, but at the time, i felt rough. i borrowed corey's bike to get up to the soverlook house. the bike ride was kind of an ordeal--first, it's a mountain bike made for a ten-year-old, so the only way i could pedal was while standing. the way up to soverlook is all uphill, it was like 20 degrees out with an awful windchill. on top of all that, the bike's tires are flat, and it makes a cranking noise whenever you pedal, except for when the pedal jumps forward and almost throws you into traffic. anyway, i'll quit complaining. thanks for the bike corey--it would've sucked more to get there any other way.
i got to the house, chilled for a bit, or rather, warmed up, then we headed out to north park. we warmed up to coventry, then headed out for the 30-minute tempo on south park. the 15min out took us past the second lake and towards warrensville ctr. i was with tim and ethan until lee, where it became increasingly difficult to run on the grass and keep the same pace. i started to drop off more and more, but was only 100-200 meters back when they turned around. i tried to keep up, but once again fell off in about the same place. i wasn't really focusing on anything but finishing the workout. it probably would've been good to focus on pace or form or something, but i got through the workout with no foot pain.
cooled down back to soverlook, then biked back to northside.
