my only real goal here was to not suck, and I didn't. coach wanted me to run 88's, and I really wanted to run 88, and I didn't run 88's - for a while. I would have finished at 18:20 if I had. Next time. Really, coach just wanted me to stay consistent with VMI, and not drop a 19 or anything, and then pull something good out at conferences. just hope that happens. I would have been pretty excited about this, except that I let this oberlin girl get away from me the last few laps, and I ended up ninth... and then she was really really NICE. blech. I must get her next time.
