Biking home

May 8, 2008 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Bike

Weather: drizzling the whole way

So I can't log the mileages as not running miles, so here it is: 60.0 miles in 6:00:00.

Gonna try to keep this short... from northside -> mayfield -> lee -> broadway -> Rockside road where it hops onto the Ohio-Erie Canal trail -> Memorial parkway -> twin road -> S.R. 18 -> Cleve-Mass. Rd -> Ridgewood -> Medina Line -> S.R. 261 -> Hartman -> Broad -> Durling -> home

This other guy and I planned on leaving at 10am, we didn't leave until 3pm... and then it took 6 hours because he had to stop every 20-30 minutes to rest. I don't see why I expected this to go well. I have a mountain bike whose top gears don't work, and I was carrying a 30lb backpack of what I was taking home, and he still couldn't keep up. I'm pretty sure without the backpack and by myself, I can make it in 4 hours. I'll go for speed the next time I do it, but it's good to know that an ice bath and night of sleep later, I'm pretty much okay the next day.

EDIT: Okay so I just read what I typed, and it really wasn't that bad. I just wish it didn't take 6 hours, which it won't next time. But it was pretty enjoyable, I just know it will be way more enjoyable next time.
