Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
I'd forgotten how amusing it is to run with Rob when you haven't been treated to it in a long time. Where to begin...
We started out with a few mile warm up and a long conversation about running on ice, which from the sound of thing, Rob has down to a science. Then we tried and failed to loosen up by stretching. We were running around NYA where Rob went to school so he talked a bit to his old coach and teammates in the gym...it was very similar to his interactions with Gomez, come to think of it.
Then we went out and did some 200s. Rob looked strong. I couldn't do all of them. I did about half of them and spent the time in between jogging around and racing some kids who came out and wanted to race us on there motorized scooter thing.
I should say that by the end of the run just standing was a stretch for me. I was worried on the drive back home on 295 that I was going to have a leg cramp, have my uncontrollable leg hit the gas, cause an accident and die a virgin (not by seizure though Caleb and Jim, possible that award should be edited to die a virgin of leg cramps), but I got home safely. I'll plan to go short and easy tomorrow.
Seriously Clint, for me right now a 7 mile jog is a workout. The good news is that my quad doesn't feel hurt, though I can't actually move it to find out, too stiff.
O, and Rob gets points for saving some dipshit in an Audi from getting stopped for speeding. They came speeding down a 25 mph zone at about 45 and Rob started waving like crazy at them because we had run by a cop a few hundred yards back. Whether because they thought he was trying to tell them to slow down or because they were curious whether Rob was an insane human or an animal, they slowed down. So, anyway, ya Rob gets points for saving some guy $100.
See you all in a couple weeks,
MacColl
