Grass Track 600s

Didn't get much sleep after the accounting/stat panic last night, but felt reasonably alright as far as being awake today. Legs were very sore before starting the warm up, probably from fountain hill yesterday that was a bitch. We warmed up three miles on the course and ended at the grass track start. One thing we noticed was the wood chips that were put down in the woods to patch holes and cover roots on the course. Maintenance is greatly appreciated, but the woodchips are hard to run on. Hopefully we can smash them down before the dual meet, not that we would lose anyway. At the grass track we did drills and strides, before doing a 200 meter warmup at R pace. I focused heavily on form today. The MD's only ran 400s, and lead us through each repeat. I felt incredibly relaxed throughout the workout. Times were as follows:

I felt pretty good about this workout. Gilboy, Simon, and Ward had a great workout today. They are pissed and want to challenge Mahalsky as top freshman. Clearly they are benefitting from the training. They beat me on a few even. Stephen passed me on the fifth since it was the last one for all of the freshmen. Hopefully they can all use this workout as a confidence builder. I feel confident about my leg speed right now, and I know that I can outkick Lehardy and Mitchell if it comes down to it at Van Cortlandt on saturday. We cooled down to get to 11 miles and ice bathed in the locker room afterwards. Bone for dinner. Some wierd girl sat with us and annoyed the shit out of me. Frisbee players. They had buffalo chicken quesadillas on the grill tonight. Good looks.
